Christmas Concert - Main Star T4 2018
For this activity we had to 'actively participate in the Christmas Concert'. I really liked this activity as I absolutely love the Christmas Concert.
$150 to spend on my family for Christmas - Main Star T4 2018
For this Main Star we had to pretend that we had $150 to spend on our family for Christmas. We then had to research/find out what we wanted to get them! I have also added in photos to show you what the items actually look like! In the end it added up to be exactly $150!!!!!!
Touch
Every Thursday now we have touch rugby on. Thursday was only the 2nd time we had it on due to wet weather and the teacher's strike. We played very well and drew 4-4. We were very happy with this as we were playing an experienced team and last time we played we lost 4-0!
I got one of our tries which I was pretty happy about! Our ref was very good as he made sure he was fair towards both teams!
After I played I went to help Mrs Bailey's team by running on the field with them and helping them with the rules as they are only brand new to the game. Mrs Bailey was very thankful for my help!

Averages - Big Fort Obstacle
This week Miss Power set us the task to come up with something to do every day for this week so we could find an average of our scores today!
Aimee, Cleo and I decided to do an obstacle on the big fort and time how long it took to complete!! I found this very fun and would love to do it again!
My average was 1 minute 22 seconds and 4 milliseconds!!!!!!!
This week we have been doing some very fun things for maths!!!! Thanks Miss Power!
Here is a video of us completing and showing you our obstacle!!!
Ratios - Fruit Kebabs
This week we have been learning about ratios!! Miss Power thought of a fun way to learn this so we had to ratio the things we were going to put on our fruit kebabs!! I found that this was an awesome way to learn ratios! A group of us were getting a bit confused at the start but in the end we figured out how it is actually soooo easy!

Narrative Writing - Halloween
This week for writing Miss Power decided that we could do a Halloween narrative as it was Halloween on Wednesday. She asked us to find a scary photo from the website Literacy Shed to write about. I really enjoyed doing this as the spookiness of it really motivated me. It is not yet finished/edited but here it is.

It was a cold, windy Tuesday night as I wake myself up to the windows open, curtains swaying and echoes running around my 4-story mansion.
It was a cold, windy Tuesday night as I wake myself up to the windows open, curtains swaying and echoes running around my 4-story mansion.
Scared to death, I rapidly pull my sheets up, covering my whole body, hoping it’s only a huge,
horrible dream. I start to doubt myself as when I look out the window, my eyes tired but slowly
awakening, I discover several zombies, a graveyard, and hundreds of jack-o-lanterns.
Rushing through my head are screams of pain. As quick as a mouse skating out of sight of people,
I am racing to get out of the house so I can attempt to attack these zombies. I pass my little sisters
room, and hanging off the door handle is a little Annabelle doll. ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!,
I scream as loud as a police siren, and head off to the front entrance. The sooner I leave this house
the better. I attempt to open the door but unexpectedly it’s locked. I try to work out why this
peculiar thing is happening??!! Long, crinkly, dark green hands then cling on to my shoulders and
20 seconds later I am tied to a rope connected to the ceiling and being made to drink a neon green
drink out of a shot glass. This shot glass is not just one that you can buy at your local supermarket,
this glass has got a black skull on the side of it. I am wondering if this is enough to make me DIE!
Christchurch Music Festival 2018
On Thursday last week a group of 16 girls went on a trip to Christchurch for 2 nights. We stayed at the Top 10 Holiday Park in Papanui. The 1st night we went out for tea at a pizza place and then went to play ten-pin bowling. This was very fun except when I ran too far, slipped and really hurt my tailbone.
We didn't get back till around 10:00pm!!!!!!!!!!!
The next morning we went to a choir rehearsal from 9:30-12:30 at the Horncastle Arena. For lunch we ate our bread rolls at Margaret Mahy Playground. After much fun and excitement we went to Westfield Riccarton to do a bit of shopping!!! Not just a bit..........a LOT!!!!!!!!
It was about time to get ready so we headed back to the motels and ate our nachos for tea and got into our uniforms. Soon we were in the van heading to the arena. My Mum, sister, Nana, Grandad, Aunty, Grandma and Uncle were there to see me!!
My favourite song overall was 'We are the Champions' as everyone in the audience put on their flashlights and were swaying them from side to side while we were singing.
It was time....the show was over and we were heading to McDonalds for supper. I had a Frozen Coke and a Oreo Flurry.
The awesome part about McDonalds was that we saw Ling from the Block NZ 2017!!!!
Back at the motel, Ruby, Honor and I didn't get to sleep until around 12:30am!!!!!
Now that the trip is over all I can think is what a fun time we all had!!!!!!!
