Day 1 (A1) - The Legend Of NZ

For this activity we had to go on to a website which told us lots of fun facts about NZ. We had to pick our favourite 3 fun facts and present this in our own words!

Thank you for sharing such incredible facts! My name is Hasiba and I am from the Summer Learning Journey team! It’s crazy to think NZ is 30% forest and we have NO snakes! I have a major phobia of snakes! The scientific name of a snake phobia is ‘Ophidiophobia’. Do you have any fears or phobias? You are the first blog to share a fact about cheese, cheese and crackers are my favourite snacks! Do you have any favourite snacks?

It's great to see you using images to illustrate your blog posts. Every time that we use an image on our blog, it's really important that we tell our readers where we found it, and give credit to the owner of the picture. To properly credit a picture you will need to include a link to the site where you found the image.

    Blog-Ya later :)

    1. Bula Hasiba,
I really like cheese and crackers, too! However, my favourite snack would probably have to be hot chips and strawberries!!
Thank you for the reminder to attribute my photos - I have now done this for the other posts!
My biggest fear would probably be sheep, but mainly lambs! I absolutely hate them!

      Thanks for your kind comment!

Thank you for your positive and thoughtful comment!
I chose these facts because they were different and ones I have never heard of!
My favourite activity overall would probably be the 'Adoption Day' or 'Environment Day'.

What was your favourite activity overall?

I like how you have presented your facts with a photo representing each fact. I wonder what the percentage of Australia is forest. I bet you it isn't 30%! I wonder what other countries in the world have as much forest as we do. I remember visiting the Sky Tower when I was pregnant with you and I felt extremely queasy being that high up and had to sit down. I hope I can take you up there one day soon. I know you will just love walking on glass that high up because you try anything!
I think it is great that you have taken the above advice and are now crediting your pictures on your posts.
Keep trying hard! I am proud of you!

The percentage of forest in Australia is actually ONLY 16%.
Ghana have around the same percentage of forest as us as theirs is 29.90%. Yes, I would love to go up to the Sky Tower one day! I would love to see the views from up there!
Thank you for your positive comment on my blog!
