ASB Netball Challenge

On Tuesday, our school netball team went down to the netball courts of the annual ASB Netball Challenge. We played 5 games altogether. I played mainly WA (wing attack), sometimes WD (wing defence) and even a turn a C (centre). We won our first 2 games by about 20 points and then had a close game for our 3rd pool game. We went into the semi-finals against Karoro and beat them by around 5 points. That meant that we progressed into the finals against St Pat's. It was an extremly close game with them leading 5-0 at the start, but we got a comeback and ended up winning 18-14. 

We won a trophy and in the next couple of weeks we will be versing teams from other close regions to see who the overall champion is going to be. Here is a photo of our team at the end. 

Wearable Arts - Update

This week at technology my group has started to draw and cut out hexagons on a yellow piece of honeycomb patterned material. Our group has decided to change our idea by adding in 2 more costumes. Mia is wearing the main costume and Reagan/Jazmine are wearing the others which is going to be a bee theme. We have also been up to date with our book work and reflections. We only have 3 more weeks at technology to make and finish our costumes. Next week we are going to be continuing with our top and hopefully finishing it and maybe even starting on the honeyhive skirt.
