Olympic Reflection W3 T3

Topic
For topic this week we had to have 5 Olympic activities completed. This week I started and finished 3 activities which were a NZ
Paralympian profile, an inspirational story about someone that has competed in the Olympics before and a Compare and Contrast activity where you had to write what things were different in the ancient Olympics and what things were different in the Modern Olympics.

It was a bit tricky trying to write the Inspirational Story because you had to write it in your own words. The Compare and Contrast sheet was a bit tricky as well because you had to find lots and lots of information.

I learnt lots about the Olympics and some of the NZ 2016 Athletes. The most interesting fact that I found out was that the Para-Athlete that I studied was blind and deaf. Here are some of the activities that I did.

  1. Hi, it's Mum! I really liked your profile on Amanda Cameron. Isn't that wonderful how a blind and deaf person can still compete at the Olympics??!!! Has she ever won any medals before? Was she born blind and deaf? Is there any other sports she plays? You have included lots of ideas in your Compare and Contrast sheet. I remember that they competed in the nude - I'm glad they still don't do that!!!! Fractions are really trciky but you seem to know a lot about them already. If you're good at multiplication and division, it helps so you will be fine!!! I like your diagrams to help the reader understand what you are learning. When do you need to complete the other 2 Olympic activities?? Great effort this week. Love, Mum

  2. Kia Ora Reagan, Its Kaleb from Mamaku, I liked your profile on Amanda Cameron, that is pretty cool that people with disability can still compete in the Olympics. How many times has she been to the Olympics and has she won any medals? Your compare and contrast is really cool but it is a bit hard to see, and wow you put allot of facts on all of your Olympics work
