Summer Learning Journey

  1. Hi Reagan

Imagine sleeping in the same room every night with Dad snoring away! I bet you would LOVE that! It would be a bit chilly at night without any insulation in the walls or having to go outside to get to the other rooms, especially if it was raining! I am very grateful for the comforts of a modern home. I wonder in another 100 years, other kids will look at our house and think that they would hate to live in a house as basic as that!!

  2. Kia ora Reagan,

Your venn diagram looks great! What a clever way of organising your ideas. I also like how you have added a picture of your own house. You have thought of many differences. Well done!

I think it would get quite tricky having different buildings for different activities. I'd find it a little scary to have to walk outside at night to make some food in the kauta. I'm glad the kitchen in my house isn't far from my bedroom. It also helps that I have lights I can turn on so I can see in the dark.

Do you think people in the 1800s would have had electricity for things like light or cooking? What do you think they would have had to use instead?

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)
