Summer Learning Journey

2 comments:

  1. Hi Reagan

I really like the way you have present your Victoria Cross person for us to learn about. We certainly have a great number of heroes in our country.
Keith Elliott sounds like he really is a great hero and solider. His bravery is immense, leading the charge while under heavy fire seems really crazy. But I suppose the whole idea of war is quite crazy.

We are really lucky as New Zealanders that these men and women went to war to fight for our freedom. So that we can live in the peaceful country that we do.

Do you know what he did once he returned to New Zealand after the war had finished?
    Did he have a family?

Its great that we can celebrate brave people like Keith at dawn parade on Anzac Day.

Well done Reagan. Keep up the great work and I really look forward to reading your posts over the summer.

    Until next time

    Allie :)

  2. Kia ora Reagan,

It was very interesting reading about Keith Elliot. Thank you for sharing this information about him! I have learn a lot about him. He sounds like he is a very brave man. I don't think I would be brave enough to run for 500 metres with bullets flying past me... Just the thought of it is already making me scared!

The bravest thing I think I have done is do the Sky Walk. In Auckland, we have a tall tower called the 'Sky Tower'. The part I walked around is 220 metres above the ground - it was pretty high! I'll send you a picture of me doing the Sky Walk.

What is the bravest thing you have done?

    Keep up the great blogging!

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)
