(W2) DAY 1 (A3) - Something Smells Fishy

For this activity we had to read 5 facts about fish and research them to find out whether they were true or false!

I like how you have thoroughly researched these facts and recorded evidence to support your true or false statements. Maybe, check that your post fits nicely on the page, next time! Wow! 90 years old! That is one old fish. I used to have goldfish when I was little and they wouldn't last longer than a few months. I was a terrible owner and often forgot to feed them! Oops! Isn't it weird that a starfish is not a fish? They should just be called sea stars.

    1. Kia Ora Mum,

I just went and changed the size of my post!!! Thank you for reminding me! Yes, when I did this activity I straight away thought that the starfish fact was true! Well, I definitely learnt a few facts when I did this activity!
Thanks for the kind and humorous comment!

      Thanks,
      Reagan

  2. Hello Reagan,

I'm Evelyn and I am working with the Summer Learning Journey team for 2018-2019 to read and follow amazing blog posts like yours! I am so excited to read what pops into that wonderful brain of yours and hope you are having fun on this journey!

Wow, just like mum has said, I can clearly see that you have done your research to accurately complete this task, what a great start you have made, well done Reagan! I really like that you have highlighted the true facts green and the false facts red, what a creative way to display your facts. You've done a superb job on identifying whether or not those facts are correct, well done! You've even pointed out the fact that Granddad the aquarium fish actually lived up to his 90s, I'm impressed! Speaking of eyelids, I've got another fact for you that's true: Did you know that camels have three eyelids? THREE! I think that's insanely crazy!

It's wonderful seeing mum follow your posts. I really like her idea of changing the name of starfish to sea stars, it sounds much nicer and feels more suitable!

    Happy blogging,
    Evelyn :)

  3. Kia Ora Evelyn,

Thank you very much for the positive comment!
I didn't know the fact about the camels, so thanks for sharing it with me! I agree with you, I think that starfish should be called sea stars as it feels more specific instead of calling them something that they actually aren't.

    Thanks once again,
    Reagan
