(W4) DAY 4 (A3) - Restricted Access

For this activity we had to explain if we liked how the Government of Peru set a rule of only a small amount of people going to the historic town of Machu Picchu each day. We also had to give reasons to support our opinion.

  1. Hi Reagan

I agree with you and think that it is probably a good thing that they are looking at restricting the flow of people going onto the ancient site. This has great historical significance for the people of Peru. I did wonder if they could perhaps have a viewing area so they could go there but then just look. I can imagine that if tourist were just allowed to walk all over the ruins then it would over time get destroyed.
I think it would still be good to be able to visit but also there should be restrictions.
It would be such a shame if it was destroyed in anyway.
You will have to put this on your bucket list Reagan, and hopefully one day you will get to Peru!

    Until next time

I agree with you Reagan, I think the government has made the right decision about making less people go to see the town. I really like how you have added in photos of before and after of the run down town. You have done an amazing job. Maybe next time you could add brighter and different colours. I would also like to go and see Machu Picchu.
Well done for an amazing post Reagan. :)
