Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism

Summary - Molly Moon was found in a Moon's Marshmallows box as a baby. She has spent 10 years in the creepy Hardwick House orphanage and is always getting into trouble with grumpy Miss Adderstone. When she finds a book about how to perform hypnotism her life changes. Molly Moon's best friend Rocky is taking from the orphanage by an American family. Molly escapes from the orphanage to try to find Rocky using her hypnotic powers to help her. Will she get away from her scary dangerous enemy who is trying to steal her powers? 

I would definitely give this book 5 out of 5 stars. 

I would recommend this book to people who love hypnotism and adventure. The age I would recommend this book for is probably 9 or 10 and up.

       

  

Kaiteriteri - Fast Write

One of my favourite parts when we were away in Nelson was going to Kaiteriteri with my family in the holidays for a little day trip. 

As soon as we got there we got out of the car and walked across the awesome golden sand to the super cold water. 

The waves were actually quite big because when they came up to the shore they got your pants completely soaked. 

After playing in the waves I dug my feet into the sand and when a wave came, it looked like the wave was pulling you out to sea. 

We then walked along the beach looking at everything. After that we went to a cafe and sat at a bench which was overlooking the beach. It seriously was a good view. 

Then we headed up to Marehau for a little look around. 


I absolutely loved going the Nelson, Kaiterteri and lots of other places in the holidays!

Literacy Reflection W3 T2

This week for reading we read a book called 'Harakeke'. We had to right down words that we didn't understand and also some of us wrote down topic words. Then we had to type the main parts of the story. Here is my drawing with all the main parts of the story on it.  




For writing and oral language we are learning about advertisements. At writing we had to choose a book and fill in a sheet to help us with the actual ad. Here is my ad on 'The Midnight Gang'. 

Term 1 Week 1 Reflection

This week for literacy we have been doing a lot of things around plastic. For one of the activities we had to write down in a doc what we already know about plastic. The other activity was to read a book called 'Plastic Fantastic' so that we can do another activity soon also about plastic.

I would definitely give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Welcome Back! 

Last term Miss Panther left because she was having a baby so we have got a new teacher for a little bit called Miss Reissmann. 

This week we got told the rippa rugby teams for this year. I am with all my friends!
