Yesterday Miss Hines read another passage of our class novel. She also made up a slide for us with 8 comprehension questions on it that we had to answer. Next time we read the book it will be set just after the disaster occurred!

Do you like Miss Hines for the same reasons that Tommy likes his teacher?
Wow - the 13 times table? How do you think you would go on Beat the Clock with the 13 times table???
I am not sure I want to read the next part of the novel as I am sure it will be very emotional! Imagine if the majority of the men and the boys from your community died all at the same time!

ReplyDeleteIn our novel quite a few of the men weren't working for weeks. Would you like if you were a man and lived in those days? I know I definitely wouldn't!
Ummmmmm, I don't think I go to well with the 13 times tables!
Mr O'Flynn also sounds a bit grumpy so I would definitely prefer Miss Hines!!!
