For this activity we had to write down 3 good reasons about being a DOC ranger and 3 bad reasons about being a DOC ranger. At the bottom we then had to write whether we would or would not like to be a DOC ranger.
I knew you would like to be a DOC ranger as you love exploring new places and meeting new people. I like how you have written the positive things in green and negative things in red. I would not like to be a DOC Ranger as my worst fear are touching rodents so I would be unable to empty any of the traps. Maybe you could include a picture of a DOC ranger at work.
Bula Vinaka Mum Thank you very much for commenting on my blog! I have gone to put in a picture of a DoC ranger now! Yes, I know you would HATE to be a Doc ranger because of all those rats and mice you would have to control.
You would make a really good DOC ranger. This would be one of the most rewarding jobs that you could do. It would be amazing to work with some of the animals that we have here is New Zealand. If you could choose an animal to work with, which one would it be? I also agree that there would be some very yucky jobs that you would have to do, like emptying the traps of the dead predators. But it would be easy to think that what you were doing was helping lots of other animals. You would also get to travel to some places that other people would not get to see. This would be pretty cool. I could imagine you working in schools teaching kids about conservation and endangered animals. You would be very good at that.

I would like to work with the kiwi because you could control their transmitters and work with the most well known bird in NZ. Yes, I would like to teach kids about things as I love to be in leading roles. Would YOU like to be a DOC Ranger? Thank you for your kind comment. It is really appreciated.
